Walk On Charity Fashion Show will be raising money for Miale Pre & Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania. One of the organisers of the show, Rachel Hanley, and friend, Georgia Dick, will also be running the 2017 Belfast Marathon to fundraise for a new school building at Miale.

Whilst 94% of children attend primary school in Tanzania only 50% pass the primary school leaving examination and 40% go on to attend secondary school. The chasm between primary and secondary school enrolment rates is telling of an education system where lack of funding is a persistent theme. The teachers at Miale School dedicate their lives to providing these children with the best education possible but a shortage of teaching resources, overcrowded classrooms and a school building which can only safely fit 1/3 of the total student body in it are all factors which are holding students back.

The money raised from the show will be used to build a new school and provide sufficient supplies of learning resources at Miale School.
