Hi, I'm Michael and I'm part of a building team from Bangor Grammar School heading to Uganda in Summer 2018 for two weeks with the charity Abaana to assist in the building of Coo-rom Tekwir Primary school.

250 children attend the school but the current facilities of the school are struggling to accommodate these children. It is built with mud walls and thatched roofs, but work is already underway to construct a new school building which is far more sustainable, and our building team is travelling to Uganda to continue this project. We will also be interacting and working with the children currently at the school while we are helping with construction for the week that we are there.

We will also be travelling to Kampala, the capital of Uganda, for the second week to work with homeless street children and the rescued street children at the Abaana New Life Homes and host activities with them to provide safe entertainment for them. However, we need help getting there.

I and others from the team will be abseiling off the Europa Hotel on 8th October to help fundraise for this trip. A simple donation will assist in the funding to help send me (with the team) to Uganda in order to help change the lives of the children for the better!
