Hi on 30th July I will be riding 100 miles in one day from the west coast to the east coast to raise money for The Northern Head and Neck Cancer Charity (HANCC).

The charity do wonderful work supporting people with head and neck cancer and helped people close to me recently so thought it would be a good idea to give something back. If you want to know more about the charity check out the link here http://www.northernhanc.org/

The cycle ride is rather immense for someone like me who has not really cycled for long. It is a challenging ride from Annan just outside Gretna Green to Tynemouth near where I live. The link below shows you the route, the elevations, and the challenge that I face along with my friends.

I started training a month or so ago thinking it would be easy but know now it will not! I have just completed my first 60-mile training ride and have the aches and pains to go with it. This ride is nearly double that and has quite a few hills (huge mountains in my book!) in the way! Its going to be tough and in a single day.

Please help where you can, all money raised will go to the charity to help more people that need it.
