My husband Michael was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis 11 months ago just 12days after his 40th birthday. Sarcoidosis is a very rare condition that effects the immune system and any organs within the body, not many doctors know much about the disease as it is so rare that means that there is no cure and it can take awhile before they find the extent of the damage. What started with just a few small spots/lumps around his eyes has lead to such a life threatening illness. As you can imagine it has been a dreadful year with hospital appointments most days. Michael's health has deteriated rapidly loosing most of his sight, hearing and loss of sensation in his left hand side seizers, lumps on skin mainly his face aswel as his independence the specialists say the sarcoidosis has spread to the brain and where awaiting tests to confirm this but due to recent seizers and rapid deterioration all signs are there 😭 . As you can imagine with 4young children and me being Michael's main carer life is not great and getting out the house is a nightmare as we have a baby who is almost 1, I am struggling to push Michael's rented self propel wheelchair and our baby's pushchair therefore our children are having to help me out when we leave the house as Michael's arms hurt and get tired. Due to medication and illness Michael has put on alot of weight and unfortunately has got to have a large wheelchair. That is light and small enough for me to lift into the car.

As people that know us will know we do not like to ask for help but the time has come for me to swollow my pride and ask for a little help.
I just want to give Mike some independence back and take some guilt off his shoulders as he feels like a burden and is very depressed.
