Story
December 2017, we received a call to say our father had fallen down the stairs and had been airlifted to John Radcliff Hospital. We had to return early from our family holiday to get to the hospital as soon as possible.
Our father was on life support and we had to make the decision to turn off the support, unaware of what would happen next.
Following tests and transfers to different hospitals we were told our father was 98% brain dead. We were told there was no coming back from this and it was then a case of us waiting for that dreaded call.
Our mother then suddenly passed away on 16th December 2017 from a brain aneurism.
Our father fought until sadly 1st April 2018 we received the call to say he had passed away.
He has left behind a daughter, two sons, a son and daughter in law, a granddaughter and three grandsons. There is no other family other than us. He had no property, savings or insurances, so we have been left to fund the funeral.
Our father passed away 8 weeks ago and has still not been put to rest as we still need to find the remaining money for the funeral to go ahead. If you can help in any way to give our father the funeral he deserves we would really appreciate it.
