Story
William was born in November 2010. He was diagnosed as having brain development problems at his 20 week scan. Following further scans and MRI's they identified the following problems with William's brain; Agenesis of the corpus callosum, dandy walker variant and lissencephaly. Then just when his medicines, care and daily routine were complicated enough, William was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in October 2016. This has made life even more complex. (See the families blog for more information http://carlsonjuniors.blogspot.com/)
His Mum and Dad, Helen and Steve, have had to purchase a lot of extra equipment to help William. Special needs equipment is very expensive, for example, a pushchair quote came in at around £3,500. And a growing boy needs new equipment regularly!
On June 10th 2017, Sam and I have decided once again to walk from our house to William's house at a distance of around 35 miles (although last time we got lost and it ended up being nearly 40 miles!). Those of you who know me will know how this is not going to be an easy challenge, especially as we want to finish before it gets dark this time.....
All the money raised will go towards helping William to get the equipment he needs.
Thank you for your support x

7 years agoDue to my lack of skills in this area, my first fundraising page got closed down as I didn't set the end date correctly!! So a big thank you to Albina Ablatipova, David James, Michele Padget, Lenka Page, Kate Furborough, Emily Sharples and an anonymous donor who started off our target with an awesome £165. Thank you. I'll keep updating with the actual total with that included! Michelle x
