Story
🌟🌟 Running for Romania 🌟🌟
I am travelling to Romania from the 19th to 26th January 2019 along with my school St. Pat’s Maghera. Our aim is to deliver vital aid to orphanages and hospitals in the Brasov region of Romania and I am privileged to be among the 20 students chosen to represent my school. We are travelling with Methodist College, Belfast in a cross community initiative known as School Aid Romania. We travel together for one week bringing aid in the form of medicines, vital equipment, toys, painting equipment, clothing, and money.
Past fundraising efforts of our local community have impacted enormously on the orphanages in Romania and each year we are bettering the living conditions for people of all ages in this area.
In previous years students have helped to fund the establishment of new orphanages, update facilities in existing centres and distribute money for the purchase of essentials such as fuel, furniture, washing machines and clothing.
I am extremely excited about this once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to Romania. Please help me raise some necessary funds by supporting my ‘Running for Romania’ challenge. My goal is to outrun November and December by running 40 miles. Please keep sharing my link and donate whatever you can. Together we will help change the lives of those I meet in January.
I have a total of £1000 to raise for supplies. My target for this challenge is £500. Donations can be made via the Just Giving Page link or personally to myself, mammy or daddy. Keep an eye out for my other fundraising ventures.
Thank you very much. Mairéad x
