OLIVE HOUSE is our local care home. My mum lives there.
The Staff do amazing work. They are all so caring ans always have a smile for the residents.
There is a little yard on the Dementia Unit which we want to turn into a Dementia Garden. We need raised flower beds so the residents can help with planting and weeding. We need flowers. But most of all we need to make it a happy place, bright and colourful. Wind chimes. Mobiles. Full of bright, colourful, musical sweet smelling things to stimulate all the senses. These lovely ladies are sat inside whilst we all enjoy this beautiful summer sun. Please help brighten up their days. One day it might be us sat in that tv room.
Many residents have no living relatives, or family living close by.
Many have mobility issues. But imagine being taken outside into a beautiful garden !
It breaks my heart to see this government cutting costs and leaving such vulnerable people without a happy place to enjoy the summer.
I would like to raise as much as possible to try to make a difference on a daily basis to these ladies lives.
