    Story

Michelle suffered a disabling, life-changing medical accident in November 2015 which left her partially paralysed. But she is not a woman to quit, and over the past eighteen months she has shown grace and determination in her fight to regain her right to live her life, as a mother to her two lovely boys, and to complete her counselling training. Against the odds she has managed this with great style and compassion for others and she was very close to the finish line of her diploma when disaster struck and she has found herself back in hospital. This time she has been told that the neurological complications from the original mistakes made are having far reaching and devastating medical effects.

See the website for the low-down on what Michelle is currently going through:http://www.neurosymptoms.org/

Not only has she been in hospital for nearlly two months, but her family has been forced to move to an accessible bungalow ready for her discharge.

But in the midst of her ongoing pain and distress she has found time to improve the lives of her fellow patients by listening to their stories, gaining access to the shared dining space and generally bringing light into their lives with her warmth and compassion.

But following a recent re-admission Michelle is struggling. This woman needs a break! She is frequently in noisy wards with no privacy and stress levels that are exacerbating her condition. She needs a greater level of nurture right now to get her well enough to return home to her boys and to complete her diploma so she can achieve her dream of becoming a Counsellor.

Spare a few pounds please to make sure Michelle gets the specialist neurological care she needs as soon as possible.

Well peeps. You are truly awesome in your continued support for Michelle and we have already raised a huge £600. Michelle is home but has to rely on scant support. She really could benefit from a speedy referral to the neurological specialist who might be able to help get her back to nearer normal functioning. So dig deep my lovelies and let's surprise her with our generosity!

So. Michelle spent months in and out of hospital (mostly in) with a variety of disconcerting and dangerous symptoms including fainting, dizziness and electric shock sensations through her face and arm. Unable to walk unaided, she returned home with minimal support. She is now waiting for the referral to see the Neuro-specialist in London but has been told not to hold her breath. Can we speed up the process with a few more pounds in the pot? Let's get this heroic woman back on her feet so that she can enjoy her sons and do the work she loves!
