So this is something I never thought I'd do. But the truth is, right now, I will do anything I can to help my family when I'm gone.
Most of you who know me, know already that I am facing my last few weeks of life. 6 years ago, at just 23 years old I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma. After many many surgeries, treatments and hospitals becoming the 'norm' for me, sadly, we never gained control of this progressive disease. In June 2016, my family and I found out the devastating news that it had spread to both of my lungs. My prognosis was still pretty good at that point, but unfortunately life had a different plan for me. Various treatments were tried, various new 'changes to life', pretty much anything we could try we did, but this disease continued to progress and now I have faced the fact I am dying. But that's ok, because I'm ok with that. I know this is the only way for me now. I just worry so much about my family when I'm gone.
Because I was diagnosed so young, and this disease has been progressive ever since, I have been unable to get any life insurance. Yes, we have saved where we can, but being unable to work due to ill health hasn't helped the saving plan. Nothing can quite prepare you for having to bury your child, tobhsve to bury your wife, and that is what my family and husband are facing. What I want, is to make that as easy as possible for them by doing what I can to help toward funeral costs.
I have planned my funeral, I have arranged it all. I just need your help to help them. Please, whatever you can give I would really appreciate it. I just need to help my family.
