Angie and Mick have decided to cycle 1000 miles from John o Groats to Lands End (JoGLE) this June. Whilst we have chosen to rise to this physical challenge we would like to take this opportunity to raise money and awareness for a young local girl Beth Tiller (15) who is battling an even bigger challenge than most of us would ever want to face in our lifetime.

Brave Beth, sister to Lottie (10), younger sister to Jack (18) & daughter to Claire & Dave, was diagnosed with a rare form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma called anaplastic large cell lymphoma in November 2016. Although a rare & tricky disease doctors remain optimistic for a good chance of a cure. After undergoing treatment over the past 5 months Beth has now completed her course of treatment and awaits her test results.

Beth is a student at Cowplain School currently studying for her GCSEs. Beth’s favourite subject is PE. Whilst at times she has struggled, she has never once complained & has kept on studying, often whilst in Hospital, and continued to smile and remain positive. She has amazed her doctors with her strength & the way she is coping with the intense treatment. Beth like many teenagers has many hobbies & dreams including spending time again with her friends & getting back to just being, in her words, “normal again”. Beth has always dreamt of one day becoming a physiotherapist & hopes to get back to her studies soon to fulfil this dream. Beth would also love to one day travel to New York to see the Christmas lights & ice skate in Central Park.

To enable us to help Beth travel to New York with her Dad we are asking all our family&friends to dig deep and sponsor generously. Our target will help see this dream come true, however we would like to go further if possible & raise enough funds to send the whole family. Your donations will help fulfill Beth's dreams it will also be the support we need during training & when completing the 1000 miles.
