We are hoping to raise £10,000 to help our brother, Mike Cook, 34, receive stem cell therapy for his stage 5 kidney disease. Mike suffers from IGM Nephropathy which is an auto immune disease that causes scarring and inflammation within the kidneys. Doctors do not know why this condition develops and unfortunately cannot stop it.

Mike was diagnosed with kidney disease age 21 and has been trying to prolong his function through diet and medication. Although this has helped,  Mike has now reached end stage kidney disease with a kidney function of 11%.

After much research into different treatments, Mike has found a private clinic in Germany offering Stem Cell Secretome  therapy. This  therapy  could not only  raise his kidney function - prolonging  his  life,  but also give him a better quality of life. There is currently no kidney therapies  available on the NHS. The overall treatment will cost £16,000, Mike has already saved £6,000 of his own money. We are looking for some support for our brother, even just the smallest amount will help towards his cause.
