We have bought two picnic tables with side access for wheelchairs to be sited under the trees by the pond. A special paved area is being created for these tables and a small plaque will be fixed to each table to say they are there in loving memory of Linda. The total cost for this is £1285 which leaves a surplus of £815 which has increased to £1000 with birthday donations and we have used this to start a fund to be administered by the Cardiff and Vale Health Charity. Extract from Linda’s Facebook page dated 26th. June 2016. I want to raise money for the cancer ward I am on. There are no radios, TVs or comfy chairs (the chairs have now been funded).Most of the ladies are there for up to 9 weeks plus (Linda was there for nearly 6 months with just short visits home). They are in pain and there is nothing for them to focus on. This is a huge task but one I feel very strongly about and it will help lots of very poorly ladies while they battle their Cancer.
