Story
From 1978-1989 I served in 'The 1st Battalion The Light Infantry'. In that time I made some very good friends and remain friends today, I served in some challenging and demanding operational theatres. The Light Infantry Regiment will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in June 2018. To mark this occasion 50 ex Light Infantry soldiers, (myself included), will be marching 50 miles, with each volunteer undertaking to try and raise £1,000 with a grand total of £50,000 to be achieved which will be presented to the Regimental Association to care for its veterans.
