No child should ever go hungry and I believe the government has failed our children who need the help the most. I'm calling on the public to stand united and show our support to help those in need. At the start of 2020 there were 3000 children in the Redcar & Cleveland Primary School sector who were on free school meals. Today there are just over 3300 and it is estimated to be 3600 by Christmas... I have set a £55,000 target which will provide each child with a £15 food hamper to ensure that no matter what happens they will not go hungry over the Christmas holidays. I will be calling on the supermarkets for a discount and their support in this mission and if we raise more than needed or can secure a substantial discount we will spread this further across the Teesside area into the Middlesbrough council sector.

We need to show the children of today the true meaning of kindness, doing this will help them understand that the world is a better place with kindness and support.
