Hello everyone, my name is Millie, I have been training as a paracyclist for the last 4 years and my aim is to make it to the Paralympics. Since taking up paracycling in 2014 I've had successes on both the track and road finishing 2nd in the national road series last year and recently picking up two bronze medals at the UCI Manchester Paracycling International. This year I started university at Loughborough studying psychology and receiving no sponsorship has made getting to/paying for races difficult. Racing abroad for the first time has many costs including travel, accommodation, race entry etc.. As with many para sports, there is little funding unless you are at Paralympic/world championship level. In order for the sport to grow we need more competitors and I hope to play a role in the development of paracycling by being able to compete in these races. Being a student and an athlete leaves little time for a job so any help would be hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping me on my journey.
