Weʼre raising £800 to help fund treatment for Millie who was attacked by another dog

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Our beautiful dog Millie was attacked by a big grey dog in Nonsuch park, Surrey. The attack occurred on 30th May and resulted in fluid on her abdomen, damage to the liver, swelling of the pancreas, trauma, shock and terrible pain.
We believe the dog to be a Weimaraner. Weimaraner's temperaments can lead them to be aggressive and dangerous with small dogs, due to their highly acute hunting instinct, if not exercised and trained correctly.
The cowardly owner decided to run off as fast as he could once the attack had taken place! He obviously did not want to take responsibility for his dog or the vet bill (as he would have been held accountable if he'd stuck around).
Millie had to go to the emergency vets and the next day was admitted to the veterinary surgery for day and night stays. She then became ill again due to the attack and had to be admitted to the vets. Her treatment has included Intravenous Fluids, iv anti-biotics and iv painkillers, various blood tests, several scans and tablet painkillers, anti-biotics and stomach liners. The above treatment and admission has now reached £3800.00!
We have always been responsible owners and paid for pet insurance for all our pets. Our insurance company will pay up to £3,000.00 for each incident that occurs. Unfortunately we are now £800.00 over this amount and there is further treatment and tests to still come for poor Millie. We are hoping to get donations for the amount over £3000.00 as we do not have the extra money.
Millie would not hurt a fly. She is one of the most loving and caring dogs you could ever meet. She loves to give kisses and to make new friends in the park and have a play. Unfortunately she came across an aggressive dog that day who had an irresponsible and heartless owner. We just want to be able to continue to give her the medication and treatment she deserves.
