Story
,300+ survivors of the Oslo and Utøya terror attacks continue to experience the psychological, neurological and physical impacts* of the violence they suffered. We aim to raise funds for the July 22 Support Group in Norway, who assist survivors and shape the legacy of the lives lost and saved on that date in 2011. We also aim to contribute to those who remain, and those close to them, through the raising of awareness for the enduring challenges they face.
We have both worked with young people in summer camps, domestically and internationally, and recognise how enriching the experience can be for those who attend and for those who deliver the sessions. The ugliness at the heart of the targeting of young people in a "safe place" continues to resonate with us.
Additional to the Support Group, we are raising funds for cancer charity Aktiv mot kreft. The charity is focused on the application of physical activity to cancer treatment, also conducting research in the field. They are one of the official charities of the Oslo marathon.
