    Story

    Miss Ghana UK Foundation
Miss Ghana UK is not your ordinary beauty Pageant, our tag line “Beauty with Brains” spells out exactly what our projects intend to do, the core idea behind Miss Ghana UK is that the role of women in society keeps evolving and we believe that there is the need for a platform to showcase the emerging and challenging roles of women today.

The Miss Ghana UK Foundation is a Corporate Social Responsibility management structure for the Miss Ghana UK brand. Also the Foundation aims at having a broad community impact and supporting national as well as international development priorities.
Chief among the objectives of The Miss Ghana UK Foundation is to develop the socio-human capital of the Ghanaian community across the United Kingdom and Ghana as a whole by improving the quality of people's lives through appropriate and sustainable social interventions in identified areas.
One of such initiatives is the Donate a £1 or more for Pads and Reading Experience which has seen Miss Ghana UK queens travel to Ghana to organise reading clinics for junior and high school students to sensitize them on the essence of a reading culture and donate school items and food stuff to orphanages.
The Big Sister, Big Brother programme is a scheme which requests Ghanaian and other BME professionals based in the UK to volunteer their time to inspire young people and show them a different way of life through making informed choices about careers – in academia, business, sports, arts and culture.

The Miss Ghana UK Foundations’ Big Sister and Brother Mentoring program will provide each young person with a role model and a friend to talk to and share the experiences of growing up. Through meetings and talking, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the Mentee, that is built on trust and common interests, and is supported by the Miss Ghana UK Foundation. The result is a life-changing experience for both the Mentor and the Mentee. info@missghanauk.co.uk
