I have written wee Bio if you wanted to know more about me and it is on the point.Through hard work, dedication and rigorous training, I have achieved the qualification standards to compete at the Deaflympic 2017 on 15th July to 31st July in Samsun, Turkey. It is an honour to have been selected to represent the UK at this event and I would love to be able to take up this opportunity.

This will be the 23rd Summer Deaflympic with the first being held in 1924s. Events like these enable Deaf athletes like me to compete at an elite level, set records and to break barriers.

Unfortunately, the UK Deaf Athletics are unable to offer me any funding to compete at this competition. It would be amazing if you could help me in any way with this so that I can achieve my dream. Each Deaf athlete is required to raise their own funds to compete. My goal is to raise £2500 to cover the cost of international airfare, training, competitions and kits also training camp - anything that you can give to assist would be greatly appreciated.

Being Deaf raises significant challenges within everything I do. Being selected for the Deaflympic is a credit to the hard work and determination to which I apply to everyday life and in particular athletics. Participating in this event also provides the opportunity to raise the awareness of the large thriving Deaf community which exists right here in the UK.
