In 2017, and after a six year fight, 37 year old David was diagnosed with Primary Progessive Multiple Sclerosis. This is in addition to a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, and a self dislocating left knee cap. He is struggling to mobilise, and as a result is not able to participate in family days out, and family activities anymore. We are fundraising to buy David a mobility scooter, so he is able to spend as much time as he can with his family. Primary Prgressive Multiple Sclerosis is sadly, a degenerative disorder. As he grows older, David will continue to deterioate, and is likely to end up fully wheelchair dependent and immobile. David already has a wheelchair, however he is unable to propel himself in this, and his wife is unable to push him due to pushing a pram for their young children.
