    Story

Hi My Name is Molly Rose Bryant,

I am 19 years old & I am a type 1 diabetic, this means I have an auto immune disease that attacks my body & stops it from producing insulin everyone needs insulin to stay alive,Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas. Its function is to allow other cells to transform glucose into energy throughout your body. Without insulin, cells are starved for energy and must seek an alternate source. This can lead to life-threatening complications.

So to stay alive I have to continuously monitor my blood sugar levels & inject myself with insulin at least 5 times a day or any time I eat & need to keep a close eye on my sugar levels making sure they do not drop to low or go to high as this can cause serious life threatening complications.

I was diagnosed at age 13 & it was such a shock, and took me a long time to accept this as it has always been my ambition to become a dancer/performer, and I want to show everyone even though this Illness is very unpredictable you can still do anything you want to do.

I have been dancing since the age of 2, I have recently auditioned for one of the top performing arts school in the UK they had over 900 applications, after an 8 hour audition & call back I was lucky to have been one of the few who have been offered a place on the Pre-vocational musical theatre course. It is only for 1 year but unfortunately there is no government funding or maintenance grants, so I am trying to self- fund everything. I need to raise £10,000 to pay for my course, rent & living costs I will also be working part time to fund myself to do what I love.I know I’m being cheeky but I am asking everyone to please help me no matter how small your contribution is it will all help me live the dream to continue my training in the Muscial Theatre industry and prove to everyone TYPE 1 DIABETES WILL NOT STOP ME!
