Story
Moneyreagh Non-subscribing Presbyterian church sits at the heart of the historic village of Moneyreagh being the first building erected within this area in 1719.
It has four buildings within its portfolio, over the last few years the church community have been working to renovate and improve the buildings, so they are available for future generations.
The current project is to raise the standard of the facilities of the Lyttle Memorial Hall. The hall will be 110 years old on 30th May 2018.
It was built in 1908 following the death, at age 39, of the then Minister Rev Richard Lyttle when the wider community raised the money to erect this building as a school house to his memory. Whilst it is no longer used as a school house it does still serve the whole community.
We would like to try and reach the amount pledged when the building was being planned, in 1905, which in todays terms would be £140,000.
Please help us reach this target before the building reaches its birthday at the end of May so we can make sure the building is available for the community for another 110 years.
