As a group of runners we've decided to take on our biggest challenge yet.

Next summer we will be competing in the Chamonix Running weekend, each running between 23km and 90km up and around the Mont Blanc mountain range. With this being such a momentous challenge we've decided to do this it in support of finding a cure for the rare genetic Lysosomal diseases - we hope you can help us raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile cause!

For those who don't know, Lysosomal diseases, or Lysosomal Storage Diseases, are a group of approximately 50 rare inherited metabolic disorders that result from defects in lysosomal function. The lysosomal function is where lysosomes (sacs of enzymes within cell that digest large molecules and pass fragments onto parts of the cell for recycling) are defective, normally through mutation, causing large molecules to accumulate within the cell, eventually killing it. This can lead to a variety of progressive physical and/or mental deterioration over time. The diseases affect an estimated 1 in 5,000 live births with no cure or any specific treatments. We want to help change that.
