Story
So this is Mork and he was sadly knocked over on Friday 23rd June 2017 and the driver didn't stop.. I know right? Myself & Lauren helped him as much as we could at the scene and a lovely lady called Laura got him to the vets. After a post on Facebook the owner of Mork (and his twin sister Mindy) was found and she was able to get to the vets to see him. He was very poorly with a broken pelvis, skull and lower jaw and he also had some swelling to the brain, although he had all those injuries his owner wanted the vets to do all they could to save him - even though they had no insurance for him and it would all be at a cost to themselves, the cost is already reaching a substantial amount. I also feel it completely necessary to mention that both Mork & Mindy are rescue cats (read on for their story), their owner has already done so much by giving them a forever home we thought it would be nice to try and help contribute financially to Morks care. I know his story as touched many on Facebook so if you can spare any amount no matter how small, it would be greatly appreciated.
Mork & Mindys story.. Cretan Animal Protection group rescued them. They were found abandoned in a bin when they were just a couple of weeks old last June. Lesley and her family started fostering them last December but just fell in love and couldn't give them back. Lesley says "Mork is the most affectionate cat I have ever known and I've had a few. He loves climbing on your shoulder and giving kisses, even though he weighs a ton. The nurses at the vets have fallen in love with him and are giving him lots of cuddles"
THANKS FOR READING :)
UPDATE! As we've smashed the £500 target (thanks to you wonderful people) we've increased it.. Lesley will take what she needs for Mork and the rest will be donated to another local animal charity. Thank you so much!!
