I have created this crowd funding page for a very humble and hard working lady in Bangladesh who lost her husband and now having to raise her six children single handedly.

Her name is Rumana and she works long hours in people's houses to care and support her young family. Invariably, she is away from her children for long periods and relies on her meagre wage to feed her family.

They currently live in a small, tinned (corrugated iron) house loosely supported by bamboo sticks which shakes and does not provide adequate warmth or stability during cold or wet seasons.
The roof leaks heavily and often makes the house wet, cold and uncomfortable.
Her children regularly huddle together in fear of their safety during stormy or severe weather conditions.

They have been living in this condition for some time but financially too weak to build a decent house that will provide much needed warmth, security and protection in poor weather conditions.

Her children are forced to drink dirty water drawn from the nearby river and do not have access to vital clean, fresh water for drinking and sanitation purposes.

Rumana worked in our house in Bangladesh during our five week stay last year and poured her heart out over the circumstances her and her young family are living under.
She kindly asked if we can can assist in building her a humble home on her ancestral home land in Bangladesh with a handwell water pump which will help her family to draw fresh clean water for their daily needs.

I assured her that I will do whatever I can to alleviate her family's suffering and kindly request you all to donate whatever you can in building a strong, warm home while bringing some joy and comfort to Rumana and her young family.

Rumana is happy to receive Zakat donations. All proceeds will be transferred to her and you will receive regular updates in due course.
