£158raised of £20,000 target by 11 supporters

Weʼre raising £20,000 to Help fund the rebuilding of a lecture hall in the University of Mosul, which has been heavily damaged in the war with ISIS.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

As many of you will be aware, the northern regions of Iraq have been severely damaged in the war against ISIS over the past few years. One of the victims of this war has been the historic University of Mosul, in the country's second largest city. My friends in Iraq have set up the National League of Medical Students to try and restore the once great university. Three local mosques have been able to donate around 5000 usd towards this cause, which has been used to repair the university's garden, but they must also prioritise the many poor people in the country who also need aid at the moment. There have also been some donations of books from abroad and from Baghdad, which will arrive to the university soon. A lecture hall which used to house 300 students was heavily damaged in a fire during the war, and it is the restoration of this hall which this campaign is for.
