Muslim Support Council is a project which works with a panel of qualified British Islamic Hanafi Jurists (Scholars) to identify social issues within the Muslim community and tackle them with carefully planned, innovative and creative projects. Social issues affecting the Muslim community is on the increase throughout the east London so Muslim Support Council has been set up with services which support individuals, couples and families through their difficulties. They provide services such as:

3) Islamic divorce (Talaaq, Khula, Faskh)

4) Specialist case based verdicts (Fatawas)

5) Inheritance assessments and will write ups

6) Islamic marriage (Nikahs and wali change)

7) Spiritual personal development

8) Funeral/Burial Imam services

9) Family related courses

10) Legal partner services

11) Targeted support services

They aim to provide a platform for the general public to gain easy access and support from British male and female Islamic Hanafi Jurists/Scholars (Ulama) who are qualified/trained/training in providing counselling, information, advice, guidance and modern therapy techniques in a systematic, holistic and professional manner. The panel of Scholars/Advisors are qualified experts in Islamic sciences and have decades of experience dealing with community issues. They aim to bring Islamic fundamentals at the core of the services alongside modern therapies to provide effective support to the Muslim community in the growing social issues affecting our communities. They work in close partnerships with established organisations who have specific expertise in dealing with concentrated issues they can forward cases to partners they believe they are better equipped to support you.

I have personally benefitted from the use of the service to resolve an inheritance issue which has affected me for almost a decade. The scholars managed to arrange a mediation and referred me to legal partner solicitors to finalise the case findings and conclusions.

I am helping them create a hardship fund as the majority of applicants who require support are women on no or low income who have been abandoned by their husbands. The funds will be used to finance their cases as well as other applicants through a means test.
