As an academy, Jovi's school is not maintained by the local authority, it is funded at the same level but items such as new PE equipment are not covered. The school has just 300 pupils from reception to year six but they still strive to offer a variety of different sports and physical activities such as football, netball, yoga and golf, to allow the children to try new things and find their strengths in activities they may not have otherwise tried due to the rising costs of out of school clubs.

Unlike other professional sports, funding in athletics is very limited and many athletes are not able to reach their full potential due to needing to balance full time work with a six day a week training schedule, so Inspired Through Sport raise money to help support athletes with their outgoings in order to give them the best possible chance of achieving gold medals for Great Britain.

On 17th January a Team GB athlete will be visiting the school, Jovi will be taking part in a sponsored session with the athlete where he will complete a fitness circuit, a healthy eating workshop and learn about growth mindset. The money raised by the children will be split between supporting Team GB Athletes and providing new PE equipment for the next generation of them.
