In July 2018, me and a team of 15 others from Nottingham Girls' High School will be venturing out to Costa Rica for three weeks on an International volunteering expedition through the World Challenge Organisation.

On my venture, we will be partaking in charity and voluntary work, and working within the Costa Rican community with the people of Costa Rica. My trip will entail various treks through rainforests and up volcanoes to visit and experience many areas of Costa Rica, and meet many people. I am so excited and honoured to be given the opportunity to experience a culture and country I never have before, and be able to help and give to the Costa Rican community and people by helping build and refurnish new schools within communities in order to try and provide the youth of Costa Rica opportunities to be educated-an opportunity which living in Britain, me and my peers take for granted.

I will be organising charity events to aid the raising of the funds needed for my expedition in the next few months, so will keep you all informed of upcoming events and services I will be providing.
