This is hard for me to write...I feel ashamed to ask for help but I am really struggling.. I was a victim of fraud (someone had set up an energy account in my name when i was 16 and still in school) and recently, me and my partner had to pay £3600 worth of debts that werent mine because an enforcement officer was in my home listing things and telling me he will be taking it all...I am classed as a vulnerable individual which the enforcement officer ignored, EON wouldn‘t help me (I was frantically calling them) although I could get tenancy agreements to prove I was never responsible for the property and overall, it was a very stressful situation that has had not only a massive impact financially, but also mentally.

I am currently trying to fight this case but it is hard as I work long hours, I have no time to call the relevant people until the evening, which in most cases, the offices are shut. My company aren‘t being compassionate, the day after this all happened, I went in to work and got told ‘this better not happen ever again’ because i had a day off...I am drained and mentally exhausted.

We are just 9 days away till Christmas and I am in a situation where Christmas is going to be cancelled. We can’t afford anything, our credit cards have been maxed out and we are currently in our overdrafts. I don’t expect lots of gifts for christmas but to wake up without a single thing and no christmas dinner due to funds, this is going to be an awful year...

As i previously said, this is difficult for me to do, I feel so ashamed to ask but this wasn’t my debt and I am feeling so low with everything that has happened. I have never been in debt, I am good with my money and I have never dealt with anything like this in my life! Lets spread some christmas joy and cheer and I thank you all in advance!
