Story
To mark the one year anniversary of Charlie's successful surgery for craniosynotosis, we have decided to take on the welsh 3000's with some of the Nails Fight Centre team. We hope to raise more awareness of craniosynotosis and to help raise money for Cranio Ribbons who provide care packages for children going through the surgery and to help support families through the difficult time in hospital.
The Welsh 3000 Challenge involves climbing all the peaks in Snowdonia in a continuous journey. Highlights along the way include summiting Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England. The knife edged ridge traverse of Crib Goch, scrambling over the incredible Glyders and Tryfan before taking on the stunning and remote Carneddau range. In order to complete the Welsh 3000s Challenge, we are required to reach the top of all 15 of the mountains over 3000 ft in Wales within the space of 24 hours, without using any form of transport.
On the 20th July 2018, Myself, Kevin & some of the Nails Fight Centre team will take on the challenge under the guidance of the experienced Carl Rawes. It is likely to be the most challenging task we have ever done but we made it our mission to celebrate our son's surgery date every year with a new challenge! :)
