Story
Our local Parkrun is trying to raise funds for a defibrillator for Llyn Llech Owain country park, that would be available for anyone in need whether it be a park runner or anyone using the park.
In November I have signed up for a 10mile race - the MT10 is a single lap 10 mile multi-terrain race arranged by the Sospan Road Runners through the beautiful scenery of Pembrey Country Park in Carmarthenshire. The course is a true multi-terrain and includes Tarmac, gravel, grass, forestry tracks and a lovely section along Cefn Sidan beach. It's meant to be pretty tough with a mile and a half on sand and lots in the dunes too!

8 years agoThank you so much to everyone that has sponsored me - you really made my legs keep going when I really wanted to stop! It was a really tough 10miles with so much sand and dunes but in a beautiful place! I managed a time of 1.24.05 (25 woman out of 215 and 188/486 overall). Clara did a fantastic time of 1.18.55 (13th woman 119 overall)! Page will stay open for one more week then we hand over the money to buy the defibrillator! Thanks again one of the hardest things I've done and knowing I've raised so much made all the difference! X x x

I have always done a bit of running but really enjoyed getting back into it after having Iori last October. Our local Parkrun is a great way to push yourself and has a lovely friendly group of runners that attend.
