For the last month, I have been teaching English to Nepalese and Tibetan refugee children at a school, Manasarovar Academy, in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The school began in 1999 with as little as 10 students, and now in 2017 has grown to cater to over 500 students. It serves children from poor families who would otherwise not have the opportunity to be educated. The Academy works with illiterate parents, helping them to understand the value of a good education, which will benefit them, their children and better their community.

Run by two inspiring women, who devote all their time to this school so that the children have the best possible outcome and future ahead of them.

To keep this school operating to its full capacity, it needs some donations to provide students with necessary equipment; books, pencils, repair broken chairs and tables and other costly expenses to maintain the fully functioning operation of the school.

Christmas is a time to give, so why not donate a few pounds, which here in Kathmandu, will go a long way to maintaining the school and providing great futures for these ambitious children.
