I am raising money for my aunty who was diagnosed in 2013 with MS (multiple sclerosis) secondary progressive.

MS is a neurological condition which effects your brain and spinal cord, instead of your immune system fighting off infection it does the opposite and attacks it which damages your nerves.

My aunty is having the treatment HSCT on May 27th and I am running the Leeds half marathon on May 13th to raise as much money as I can.

HSCT (hematopoietic stem cell therapy) is a stem cell treatment which involves intense chemotherapy and harvesting new stem cells in order to regain an normal brand new immune system.

My aunty does not meet the criteria for treatment in England so is having to travel to Mexico for treatment to hopefully halt the progression and have a better quality of life.

The treatment costs £42,500 and does not include flights to Mexico city. The flights alone are costing £2150 for 2 people to go so all the money I raise from taking part in the half marathon will be going to my Aunty.
