I have cared and loved rats for many years now . i lost my two babies 4 years ago due to being ill. They were both pet shop rats and hadnt had the best quality of life before coming to me. I wanted to take them all as a family but the pet store made me choose and the conditions they were in are shocking and they usually cannot tell you wether they are rescued or breeded before hand. I have not been able to get past this and it torments me everyday and today i need to make a change. i want this to change i want to educate and change peoples opinions of rats and how they are misunderstood creatures on this earth. I want to give as many a safe and stable home as possible while also giving others the chance to adopt or educate themselves and hopefully change their opinions. One of the biggest problems that we face is poor neglectful breeders and alot of them who do not look after them properly ir who simply do not breed them correctly. From my own experiences and from talking with other experienced rat handlers and owners something that needs to be eradicated is one the stigma and 2 the bad places that breed poorly and the pet shops thay farm them.
