As many of you know I have been a Dental Nurse for many years now (9 in total) aaaahh.

I love my job and helping the Peterhead public but I have decided to take my skills & knowledge overseas. In June 2019 I will be travelling over 5000 miles to Zambia.... I will be taking part in 2 weeks volunteer work alongside Zambian dentists, providing the local villages with essential dental care & equipment.
I will be joined on this trip with my fellow dental nurse colleague Sophie Grant & the dentist I assist Hawar Al-Haddad.
We all currently work at the Queen Street Dental Centre in Peterhead.

We have decided to take on this amazing life changing opportunity because although we do enjoy treating the lovely local Peterhead people, we would like to give something back to the under privileged people of a third world country.

We have signed up to this trip through an organisation called Dentaid.

I have been asked by Dentaid to fundraise £2200.
This will cover the cost for myself to travel to Zambia, supply of basic dental materials & consumables for the mission, support for the host projects & Dentaids on going work.

Throughout this year myself, Sophie & Hawar will be fundraising to help reach our targets.
We will be organising many events to do so.
I will keep you posted when we know more information regarding our fundraising events.
