Story
I am raising money to help fund a Chemotherapy Unit at East Surrey Hospital.
In August 2015 my colleague Lizzie was diagnosed with Cancer, as she lives in Oxted she had to travel all the way to Guildford to receive her treatment.
Lizzie really wants to raise £10,000 to go towards the build of this new unit. She has so far raised over £7000 through various book/cake sales and a Swimathon in December 2015.
We really want to help Liz get to her £10,000 target so Tandridge Trust has organised a Swimathon on Friday 6th January where I will be swimming 200 lengths (or 5km!!!!) to help raise as much money as I can.
At the moment I am only regularly swimming 64 lengths (1 mile) and I only have 7 weeks to triple that!! Any support you can give will really help motivate me to complete my swim but more importantly will help so many people in our local community!
