Weʼre raising £150 to help fund a redoing up a part of the garden at the lord leycester hospital

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
This summer we have taken part in NCS (National Citizen Service) which is a voluntary personal and social development project for 15-17 year olds in the U.K. As a part of our course we have to take part in a social action project, which involves us volunteering for and helping a local charity.
Our community partner is Lord Leycester Hospital, a home for war veterans as well as being a musuem. The Hospital is an historic group of medieval timber-framed buildings on Warwick High Street dating mainly from the late 14th Century. Of historic significance, they represent one of the finest examples in Britain of medieval courtyard architecture. Clustered round the Norman gateway into the town, the 12th Century Chantry Chapel sits above it. For nearly 200 years this site was home to Warwick’s medieval Guilds.
The only funds the hospital receives are from it's visitors which often isn't enough. The building is old and requires maintenance, and often has to turn down several veterans as they only have so much room.
As a part of our volunteering day, we will be doing up part of the garden which has become unused and overgrown. This garden is visible to the public so it is important that it is made to look it's best. We are expected to need about £125 to cover the costs of doing up the garden, this price in including fertilisers, necessary equipment and new plants.
The garden is somewhere the veterans who are staying at the hospital can enjoy. Our original plan was to create this garden as a children's garden, allowing a space for the visiting children to enjoy. Many of the veterans have young children or grandchildren, so a space like this would be greatly appreciated and needed.
We are taking part in a sponsored activity walk around Stratford this Saturday, so any sponsor money would be greatly appreciated as this is such a great cause which needs as much help as it can get. Any funds not used for the garden will be donated to the Lord Leycester Hospital.
Even if you can't donate, just by visiting the Lord Leycester Hosiptal next time you are in Warwick would be enough to show your support.
