We are Team Gecko from NCS (national citizen service), we are passionate about the community and we have chosen to support the Worthing St Barnabas hospice. This charity provides palliative care to adults with life-limiting illnesses, they support their patients within the hospice and also within their homes across West Sussex.
To support this charity our main event is a sponsored walk taking place on the 28th of July. The walk is from Worthing to Rustington and back again which is roughly 14 miles overall. As well as a sponsored walk we are volunteering at the hospice to make the hospice a better place for one day, our volunteering will include gardening and recreational activities with the residents at the hospice.
