What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

The London Borough of Merton recently announced that they will no longer be providing free access to their youth football pitches for the Morden little league. This was following a promise from the local councillors that if elected the free football would stay!

Please read the below link for the full story.

As the oldest amateur football club in Merton, Merton FC would like to raise enough money to offer 50 free football places to a number of children who live within the borough. This will include a full season of football, kit, coaching, club house and presentation evening.

Money is not the only thing we would like to raise, we would also like to find volunteers who may be able to help with club house repairs, coaching and managing a team. Any kit donations or any local sponsorship opportunities. Please get in touch to help in any capacity. £1, 1 hour or one share of this post could mean better facilities for local children!

Love seeing how the kids develop in their teams. Good cause. Good luck!

A grass roots football coach who has a long lasting love for the oldest football club in Merton. As a player I have played for Merton FC for 20 years and coach youth football. I am upset by the recent deterioration of facilities for grass roots football.
