Hey it's Niamh! Thank you so so much for visiting my JustGiving page, I really appreciate it. In 2018, I will be heading to the Fiji Islands and will be living with locals, teaching education, extra curricular and sport to children in their schools. Many look at Fiji and see a beautiful holiday destination - which is true however, many are living in areas with mass poverty. They do not have the access to a good education or teaching or many luxuries at all. I will be sacrificing all my luxuries and going living alongside them, within their homes for a long period of time. I want to go out there and be a positive role model to each and every student, young child and teenager. I also want to do this in order to learn about their culture and being able to make people aware when I come home to England of the huge issues that are occurring in other areas of the world! Not only will I be working with the children, I will become part of their family and will be exchanging cooking recipes and cultural ideas. This is such a give and take opportunity and I am so excited to embark on the start of many life changing adventures! Those who know me will understand how bubbly, confident and compassionate I am, not to mention how I want to leave a positive impact on the world alongside helping as many people as I can. This experience is right up my street and is something I am hugely passionate about. I have been extremely privileged in my education and I would love to pass on what I know to others. As Nelson Mandela once famously said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world!"
