Hello. I am single mum to three beautiful children age 13/11/4
My youngest child Alfie has medical condition called perthes disease (rare, no medical cure) this is a condition of the hips which causes the thema bone to crumble. Alfie is in pain daily and has wheele chair Alfie can walk but only shirt distance around the house and garden but does have several falls. Along with autism and sensory issues severe astmas and MAKATON assisted speech.
As parent I have always tried my best and saving up for our very small front garden to be disabled friendly as it's in bad state of repair our front wall is loose the flooring is uneven and floods not level and concrete flooring which is terrible state saving up has become challenging but I almost reach our goal
However on Wednesday 25th July we had an house fire in kitchen this left us having to replace many appliences redecorating and replacing other things that couldn't be saved through smoke and water damage. I wasn't insured so all is having to be done at my own cost. On 1st aug 1 week after our house fire my middle daughter was rushed in hospital due swelling of the face and neck which begun to choke her she since had emergency surgery but we now left making many journeys for her to have reconstructive surgery in the mouth
It's been a very tiring emotional and mental journey for all of us and the moneys that were saved for Alfie's garden have had to be put on hold and used to get our house as normal as possible for us as family to live in.
The guilt I feel for having to use what I saved the pain I see in Alfie's eyes because he can not play safely in his garden is heartbreaking were having amazing weather and he can't play out.
We are wanting to sort the repairs and get suitable flooring for Alfie's use and safety (astro turf or cushion floor)
It's taken alot for me to turn here and ask for help so if anyone can spare any help it would be very much apriciated and takes us one step closer to Alfie's garden
