    Story

We've already raised £30,000 for our 'one of a kind' friend, devoted father of five and loving husband, Nick, who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Motor Neurone Disease. Thank you to everyone who has already donated so far.

Having raised over £30,000 already Nick has received two rounds of treatment from Doctor Kobinia (a very well respected surgeon in Vienna, Austria), which has managed to slow down a lot of the symptoms. Nick will need to continue to receive treatment, and in October he is scheduled for a third round, which we have been told we hopefully begin to reverse some of the symptoms.

This is absolutely amazing news for Nick, his family and friends.

We are now looking to raise further funds to send Nick to Russia for a different type of stem cell treatment that is currently being used to reverse the effects of MND. We now desperately need the funds to secure this treatment and further ongoing treatments and aftercare.

Part of the funding to go alongside the treatment is the support that we need in getting around with a car that is capable of carrying his Nick's wheelchair. We also have to buy Nick's vitamins and intravenous equipment to make sure that he is nourished and getting everything he needs.

Not only will your donations give Nick more precious time with his family and friends, this treatment will most definitely contribute to the medical world’s efforts to find a cure for this terrible debilitating disease that so many people around the world are currently suffering from.

Hopefully in five years’ time the whole world could be benefiting from what we give now.

Nick's family and friends, sincerely thank you all, very much.

Nick wants more precious time with his gorgeous family and his two little girls want to grow up with their loving father around them, no matter what. Not only will your donations give Nick much needed time with his family, but this treatment could also contribute to the medical world’s efforts to find a cure for this terrible, terrible disease, from which so many people currently suffer from. Hopefully in five years the whole world could be benefiting from what we give now.

Nick went out for a walk last week to see some of the locals. Thought you might like to see him as he hasn't been out and about much recently. He's busy resting his weary head in between some very comfortable cushions :-)
