Our running group 'The Running Machines' have decided to undertake a mammoth charity run to raise money for our NHS heroes in Tayside who have worked so hard during the current pandemic. Our group moto is 'No Problem' and this has definitely been evident in how the NHS have dealt with coronavirus.

Our group is made up of around 12 runners who are all at different levels and can run different distances however come together through the love of running. We have decided to carry out a relay type race over 3 full days. For a continuous 72 hours at least one participant within the group will be running the route from Perth City Centre to Broughty Ferry Castle. At any one time only one person will be running to ensure all social distancing restrictions are adhered to and they will pass the virtual baton onto the next runner at a pre-arranged point on the route. Some of the runners will be undertaking 3 marathons within the 3 days to ensure the time can be met.

The date is not yet set for this fundraising challenge as the current restrictions on exercise means we need to wait until there is a lift in the restrictions however they hope this will be completed at some point in May 2020, or as soon as the restrictions allow.
