For the past four years I have had the privilege of working for the Great Ape Film Initiative (GAFI), as their school twinning coordinator. See .... http://www.gafi4apes.org/

Over the years, we have run some super collaborative projects between UK and Ugandan schools - planting trees and cabbages , donating books and sports equipment ,exchanging letters, gifts and teaching.

At the heart of our work is the promotion of conservation. In the UK and Uganda, we have used the pedal powered cinema to show films that encourage children and adults to look after their environment.

In three weeks time, I will be travelling to Uganda to work with two groups of schools.The first schools, in Antioch, Uganda, are part of the Rock of Joy programme and I will be working on a sanitary awareness programme. The second schools will be my GAFI schoools in Kisoro, Uganda.

I am busy collecting pencils, ladies underwear, flipflops and dark towels, but also need to raise money to fund the transportation of a new pedal powered cinema. Any contribution made will be used to fund items from the list above. - I have a whole extra allocation of luggage allowance !
