Most of my close friends and family will know that my Step Dad, Stuart Barsted has been seriously ill over the last few years with problems connected to his diabetes mainly. He has been in and out of hospitals, Macclesfield, Liverpool, Stoke and Manchester Royal. He is the bravest man I know and has been through and is still going through a very ruff time with it all. Stuart has come through each and every difficulty he has been through which has on one occasion landed him in a coma for several weeks. Those who know Stuart and my mum will know what they have been through and they never ask for any help at all so I know my mum might be a little embarrassed I am doing this but to be honest she needs a break and I know those close to her will understand and be more than happy to help. My Mum has stuck by Stuart 100% and has dedicated all her time to care for him as well as having to move house into a bungalow as Stuart is currently wheelchair bound and waiting for an operation on his foot which may or may not work. I am sharing this story as both of them need a break and because of Stuart’s illness they have been unable to go on holiday for years. I am not asking for people to contribute towards the holiday but for help with the extra cost of the holiday due to Stuart’s illness. My mum is now saving up to go back to the place they had their honeymoon on their 18th wedding anniversary in May 2018 however she has had to look at dialysis aboard which has cost her £70 to arrange through a company called freedom dialysis , wheel chair adapted apartments which have to be booked through disabled access holidays and costs around £800 more than normal apartments as well as insurance that £300.
