Rescued from the disaterous fire Hastings Pier reopened to give back to the town this jewel on the shore.

“Hastings Pier Charity is a Community Benefit Society with Exempt Charity status. The organisation was set up in 2011 to take ownership of Hastings Pier in order to restore and run it for the benefit of the people of Hastings and St Leonards and the wider community. Hastings Pier Charity is dedicated to securing the Pier’s future for generations to come.”

To keep it running and free to visit for the public, costs a great deal. So to give a little back to my adopted community I will undertake a walk along the Saxon Shore Way. 163 miles from Gravesend to Hastings hopefully inspiing others to donate on-line here.
