I am planning on going to Borneo in 2018 with my school, John Ferneley, after my GCSE's to help projects for local's such as water supplies, building schools etc. Only 30% of the country go on to Secondary Education. Something we take for granted here.
75% of the cost is going to the projects that Camps International are funding in Borneo. To be able to do this I have to raise this money through various events throughout the next 18 months.
I raised £800 2 years ago by having my hair cut off so a child with Cancer could have my hair made in to a wig. The money I raised was used for many more children to also have a wig made. As a start to my fundraising I plan to do the same again, so my hair, yet again will help a child. The money raised will go towards the Borneo Project as this is through a charity.
The trip I will also be able to use for my Duke of Edinburgh Award I am working towards at the moment in my role as Army Cadet. My future ambition is to join the Armed Forces and this trip will also help to enhance my CV for the future.
Please could you help me towards my goal? I am also planning other activities and fund raising days as well as people I know are also going to be running, football events for me.
