Weʼve raised £1,279 to To help fund new chairs for our village hall

Funded on Sunday, 16th June 2019

    Story

For some time Northiam Village Hall has been holding events to raise money to purchase much needed replacement chairs. The existing chairs are old and worn and some have become unsafe to use. This has discouraged bookings and the hall is missing out on attracting younger users. To keep the Hall running it is imperative that is attractive to ALL sections of the community. Therefore, the Hall is in desperate need of new seating, to go with other facelift measures already in hand, to modernised and provide greater comfort for the users in order to encourage greater use of the facility.

Thanks to your generosity £1,279.00 has now been raised. Due to a bequest from a former Parish Councillor and a temporary loan from the Parish Council, it has been possible to purchase the new chairs which have now been in use over the past weeks. We are still few hundred pounds short of the sum required to repay the Parish Council loan. So do please pass the word to family, friends and neighbours that as an alternative to the JustGiving page, donations can be handed in at the Northiam Parish Council Office. Many thanks to you all. Keith.

Wow over half-way. £1,109 has now been raised. Only £891 required to reach our target. If you know anyone you think may like to contribute please pass the details to them. If they haven't got access to a computer let me know and we can make other arrangements to receive any donations. Many thanks to each subscriber. Warmest regards Keith.

So far, thanks to the 41 very generous individual supporters plus a most generous donation from Rush Witt & Wilson we are now over halfway (£1,074.00) to our £2,000.00 chair target. I have never organised a crowdfunding collection before and didn't know what to expect so I am overwhelmed by the response and progress so far. Many. many thanks to you all. Keith
